🎉 October is National Principals Month! 🎉

All month long, we’re celebrating the incredible leaders who make a difference across our 67 GISD schools every day! 💙

Kicking off our principal spotlights, help us celebrate:

👏 Kristy Nolan | Coyle Technology Center
👏 Dr. Mark Booker | Jackson MST
👏 Jennifer Fowler | Hudson Middle School
👏 Roger Ceballos | Schrade Middle School
👏 Qiana Elam | Webb Middle School
👏 David Guzman | Sellers Middle School

Thank you for leading, supporting and showing up for your students, staff and school communities. 💙

Stay tuned as we continue celebrating our amazing GISD principals throughout October!

Mark your calendars! Our 2nd annual College and Career Night is on December 10th. This was a huge success last year and that is partly because of YOU! We appreciate all the vendors and business who helped make this such a fun evening last year.

Businesses: If you would like to represent your industry by having a table at our College and Career night, we would love to have you. Please scan the QR code or click this link, https://bit.ly/3VjltcF, to sign up to have a booth.

Parents: Mark your calendars to attend this night. Your student will have a chance to talk to people from many different indistries and learn what different jobs are out there. This may open them up to a career they've never considered before.

This week’s newsletter is out! We have a fun week raising awareness for Bullying Prevention Week with our spirit days. Then on Friday, you can wear your PJ’s or celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month or both! (floral PJ pants! 😊)

Please note, students will not have school the week of fall break or on Monday, October 19. Classes resume on Tuesday, October 20.
Thank you for your partnership. Enjoy the time with your family, and we look forward to seeing our students back on the 20th.
