Important News: ID Badge Update
Beginning with the 2026–27 school year, all Garland ISD students in Pre-K through 12th grade are required to wear a student ID badge while on campus. ID badges are an important part of keeping our schools safe, organized, and running smoothly each day.
🚌 Bus Riders: Students must scan their badge when boarding and exiting a school bus, including buses used for field trips.
📍 Sewell Badge Pick-Up: Students can pick up their ID badge from their teacher during Back-to-School Night on Thursday, August 6.
📸 Pre-K & New Students: Pre-K students and new enrollees may receive a badge without a photo or may not have a badge. We will take photos and print badges for Pre-K and new students during the first week of school.
💰Lost Badges: For the first lost badge, replacement is free. For subsequent lost badges, there is a $5 fee to replace the badge. The fee covers the cost of the print and replacement materials.
