Quarterfinals Result - Pelham 1, Rye 0

At Pelham, Sara Veteri scored and Lindsay McNamara stopped five shots to record the shutout as the No. 2 Pelicans beat No. 7 Rye.

Pelham had 13 penalty corners to the Garnets' seven.

Rye goalie Megan Ferris had nine saves.

Rye 2, Brewster 1 🙌🏻 Next stop: quarterfinals!

At Rye, Alejandra Saavedra scored twice as the No. 7 Garnets defeated the No. 10 Bears.

Danielle Heintz had Brewster's goal off a penalty corner and a Brianna Sayegh assist.
Brewster's Gabrielle Fragliossi had 14 saves, bringing her season total to 121.

Megan Ferris had three saves for Rye.

Rye will play in the quarterfinals Tuesday at No. 2 Pelham.

No. 10 Brewster vs. No. 7 Rye — Rye has had a tough time this year and has never gotten into a groove. It's also missing its top player, Hanke Govaert, who is injured.

Lakeland, winner of nine straight State Championships, is the favorite to win the Class B field hockey title. John Jay-CR is also in the hunt.

Caitlin Antinozzi, Annie Kirkpatrick and Alejandra Saavedra scored twice.

Ellie Hedges, Casey Lehmann and Jackie Quirke also scored.

Kirkpatrick,Saavedra and KJ Langer each had an assist.

Bobcat goalie Kathryn Eisenhower stopped eight shots.

Rye goalie Megan Ferris had two saves to earn the shutout.
