Reunion 2025 is this weekend, so this is the perfect time to reflect and honor those who have made an impact on our community and in the world.

This weekend at Reunion Mass, we will honor Karen DiYanni Peterson ‘90 with the Sr. Jeanne Ronzani, SHCJ, Distinguished Alumna Award.

This award recognizes an alumna who has shown outstanding leadership and extraordinary commitment to her community, school, and faith. It is given to one who demonstrates commitment to “conscience and action” in her life’s work or vocation, generosity of time, talent, and treasure to Holy Child, and dedication to Christian faith and values in service to others.

Karen is a professional violinist with a versatile career as an orchestral, chamber, studio, and commercial artist. She has performed alongside famous artists such as Joni Mitchell, THE WHO, and Andrea Bocelli. And, most importantly, as a music teacher, she is a committed advocate for music education. Karen gives of her time to several non-profit organizations, in addition to the Yale School of Music, St. Mary Grand Parish in NYC, and, of course, Holy Child.

Karen lives in New York City and enjoys the vibrant arts and culinary scene with her husband, Ned, her 13-year-old daughter, Keira, and their family dog, Milli.

The Alumnae Association is excited to invite you to the annual Gryphon Classic Golf & Tennis Outing! Join us on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Leewood Golf Club, for a fun-filled day of golf, tennis or pickleball, great food, and community spirit, all in support of the students and faculty at Holy Child. Gather a foursome or a tennis partner and join us!

Golfers will kick off the day at 10:30 a.m. with brunch, followed by a barbecue lunch, 18 holes of golf (complete with carts and caddies), and wrap up the day with a lively cocktail party featuring an open bar.

Tennis players can choose the morning session, which includes brunch and two hours of instruction and play, or the afternoon session, which includes two hours of instruction and play followed by the cocktail party. You can also opt to play or learn pickleball!

Prefer to skip the sports? We’d love to see you at the Cocktail Party, with hors d’oeuvres served from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and an open bar until 8:00 p.m. We will also have fabulous raffle baskets, silent auction items, and prizes! ⛳️ 🎾

Happy New Year! So many of our young alumnae visited campus over the last week to share their insights with our students and visit with teachers and friends - and of course to enjoy some of Chef Karen’s cookies!
