On Thursday, July 16, the Fairchester Athletic Association named Rye Country Day School’s Boys’ and Girls’ fall varsity teams as the fall recipients of its Allen D. Hall Sportsmanship Award.

The award is presented annually to the FAA member school receiving the highest average score on evaluations completed by FAA coaches, broken down by season and gender. These evaluations reflect the sportsmanship exhibited by the players, coaches, and fans in each FAA sport in which the school competes.

Congratulations to our fall varsity teams for being great representatives of RCDS!

On Wednesday, July 15, Marshall Brown ’28 of the RCDS Boys’ Outdoor Track & Field team was named to the lohud Boys’ Outdoor Track & Field All-Star team.

Marshall earned first-team honors in the 1600m and second-team honors in the 3200m.

The lohud All-Star teams recognized the top 71 players across Rockland, Westchester, and Putnam counties.

Congratulations, Marshall, on this fantastic achievement!

On Wednesday, July 15, three members of the RCDS Girls’ Outdoor Track & Field team were named to the lohud Girls’ Outdoor Track & Field All-Star teams.

Payton Richardson ’28 earned first-team honors in the 200m, second-team honors in the 400m, and honorable mention in the 100m. Kayla Rosen ’28 garnered second-team honors in the pole vault. Jocelyn Rice ’27 received honorable mention recognition in the long jump.

The lohud All-Star teams recognized the top 85 players across Rockland, Westchester, and Putnam counties.

Congratulations, Payton, Kayla, and Jocelyn, on these terrific recognitions!
