DCIU was proud to host Assistant Superintendents from Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties for a regional meeting focused on collaboration, professional learning, and the challenges facing school districts.

Throughout the session, administrators connected with colleagues and worked together to explore real-world problems of practice in several critical areas, including:

💻 AI and technology use — from policies, digital literacy, and data privacy to rethinking curriculum, assessment, and high-value assignments in the age of AI.

📊 Student achievement systems — examining how districts can strengthen intervention, equity, access, and data-informed decision-making to improve learning for all students.

💰 Budgeting and fiscal sustainability — discussing high-impact investments, resource allocation, organizational agility, and maintaining trust during uncertain financial times.

🌱 Leadership development — exploring how districts can identify emerging leaders, support current talent, set clear expectations, and make supervision a meaningful tool for feedback and professional growth.

The activities and professional learning were facilitated by Assistant Executive Directors from the regional Intermediate Unit sites, creating valuable opportunities for leaders across the region to share ideas, learn from one another, and strengthen their collective work on behalf of students and school communities.
