For some of our students, the last few days have brought their last first day in Lincoln Parish Schools.

Seniors across the district celebrated the start of their final year with Senior Sunrise, gathering together as the sun came up on their last first day of school.

Painted jeans have also become part of the tradition, adding a little more fun to the start of senior year.

Here’s to the Class of 2027 and all the memories still to come!

Lincoln Parish Schools, in partnership with local first responders, will be conducting a school safety training exercise this morning, Monday, August 10, at Ruston High School.

As part of the exercise, a portion of Bearcat Drive and James Street will be closed to through traffic from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Superintendent Mr. John Young had the opportunity to speak at the Lincoln Parish State of Education event hosted by the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce at Louisiana Tech.

It was a great chance to share what’s happening across Lincoln Parish Schools and what’s ahead for our district. Thanks to the Chamber for bringing our community together!
