The sounds of ringing steel and clashing swords were heard in the halls of Scotty Robinson Memorial Gym as we played host to the National Stage Combat Workshop organized by the Society of American Fight Directors. The workshop runs July 20 - August 8 and is using spaces across the campus of Louisiana Tech University. Find more information on the workshop and the work of the SAFD at safd.org. You can get involved in research on stage combat in the Motor Learning Lab, where Dr. Brockshus studies the functional skills and health effects of stage combat training.
