Cotten’s Karate Cotten's Karate is a competitive karate and self-defense program located at Ruston Sports Complex. Students also participate in competitive karate.

Training with Buster Cotten’s Karate facilitates the development of self discipline and character by emphasizing the principles of loyalty, ability, and integrity. The program's curriculum includes self defense, fighting techniques, and forms. Classes are a great workout and are a lot of fun.

FINAL LOUISIANA STATE POINT STANDINGS!!!

Congratulations to all of our competitors on an outstanding 2025–2026 Louisiana Points Season! Your hard work, dedication, sportsmanship, and commitment to excellence throughout the season are to be commended. The Top 5 ranked competitors in each division will be recognized at the Louisiana State Championship on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The awards presentation will begin at 8:30 AM. All recipients must be preregistered by October 21, 2026, to ensure they receive their state point award. Congratulations to everyone on a great season, and we look forward to celebrating your accomplishments at the Louisiana State Championship! Use the link below to review the final standing!

Join us on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in Ruston, Louisiana, for the Louisiana State Karate Championships!

This special event will also serve as a Memorial Championship honoring Dr. David Jordan, 10th Degree Black Belt and Co-Founder of the United States Karate Alliance.

Competitors of all styles, ages and ranks are invited to participate in a great day of competition and sportsmanship.
