On this , we're highlighting Louisiana Tech's most recent study abroad experience: Spain and Morocco. ✈️

Students experienced centuries of art and architecture across both countries, immersing themselves in Spanish cathedrals, Moroccan medinas, and everything in between. This trip was led by School of Design faculty Nicole Duet and Marla Emory. If your student is interested in studying abroad, email [email protected]! We would love to help them discover these opportunities and grow their global perspective.

Thank you to Frank Hamrick and Claire McKeithan for the photos!

What are Louisiana Tech Honors College students up to this summer? 👇️

Big things are happening for Mikael Maia Abud! Mika, an Aviation Management major, is interning with the Airside Operations team at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT).

Day-to-day, this involves inspecting the airfield to keep it FAA-compliant, helping enforce safety across the Air Operations Area, and responding to incidents and irregular operations to keep CLT running smoothly for every flight that takes off or lands.

In Mika's words: "I have had an incredible time here at CLT, and am learning a lot about one of the career paths my degree opens."

We love seeing our honors students put their education into action. Way to go, Mika! ✈️
