Details for everything listed in the post is on the Newsletter pinned on this page and was also sent to all 4-H members on October 1st via email through 4H online.

Sweet Potato & Pecan order forms are due October 26th! You have about a week and a half to make your sales and turn in your orders.

Shooting Sports - Registration forms are due tomorrow! You must enroll in 4-H online prior to turning in your forms. Register here for 4-H online, https://v2.4honline.com/

October Service Project - The last day to turn in candy to your club leader or to the 4-H office is October 23.

State Livestock Show T-Shirt Contest - The last day to send in your art for this contest is October 20th.

Newsletter Safety Scramble - All newsletters are due by October 31. Please send a photo of FRONT AND BACK of the newsletter so that I can correctly count their safety words they circled.

Lincoln Parish 4-Hers attended the October Lincoln Parish Police Jury Meeting. Ace Young lead the Pledge of Allegiance and Rayne Doucet lead the 4-H Pledge. Thank you to the Police Jury for giving our 4-Hers this opportunity to experience civic engagement to Make the Best Better.

Our fall workshop is full!
We are adding names to a waiting list, but we typically will not know until the start time of the workshop. Please call 318-251-5134 and let us know if you would like to be added.

Our Fall Holiday Workshop has 6 spots remaining! You must come by the office to register and pay the $25 fee. We do not accept debit or credit cards, and cash must be exact change.

This week we showed our appreciation to our Lincoln Parish School Board members at their meeting as well as our Principals at the Principals Breakfast. We could not operate all of the 4-H things without their support, working with us to make our programming happen!

Two of our 4-H members, Jacob Cicciarelli and Sydney Hearne spoke at the Principal's Breakfast, discussing how 4-H has impacted them.

Lincoln Parish 4-H Discovery Club is off to a great start this year! We are so excited about the new things they will be doing this year!

January 14, 2027: Tie-Dye | Classic Tie-Dye for Creatives Week
February 4, 2027: Handmade Puppets | Mardi Gras Themed Puppets
March 4, 2027: Button Making | Keep Louisiana Beautiful
April 15, 2027: Environmental Art | Love the Boot art in the courtyard

Joining Discovery Club is free for all 4-H member in grades 4-8. All meetings are held at The Gilbert Center located at 301 N Trenton St STE 3 in Ruston at 6PM unless otherwise noted.

On Monday, October 5th, 4-H members and even some staff wore green in honor of National 4-H Week! KNOE news to learn about 4-H and ask some members about their involvement. I.A. Lewis School had the most 4-H members in green on Monday!! Hillcrest staff also wore green on Monday to support "turning the nation green"!

Thank you to all of the parents, members, staff, and community members that help us to provide the opportunity for our youth to develop the required skills to succeed in life!

The Lincoln Parish Talent Show was last night and we are always amazed by the talent here in our community!

Thank you to every parent and member of the community that came out to support or 4-H youth!

Thank you to LATech for the use of Howard Auditorium! Thank you to our wonderful judge for the contest, Valerie Chatellier!

Today we are thankful for Kali, one of our Simsboro Elementary 4-H Club Leaders. Kali is another new leader this year bringing a positive attitude and fresh ideas to the 4-H program. We are so excited to have her on our team this year!

Currently, registration is open for the STEM Team Gingerbread House Building Contest in December and Fall Holiday Workshop has only 3 spaces left. You MUST come to the office to register for the Fall Holiday Workshop as we must have your payment before placing your child in a spot.
