My mom’s orchestra is having its 25th anniversary concert tonight! 🥳

Today is the day! We’d like to say now thank you to the City of Eunice for your support these 25 years. 🫶
We couldn’t have done it without you. We would love for you to share your favorite concert memories or photos with us today! We can’t wait to see your smiling faces tonight. It will truly be unforgettable.

I love this!! 😂 While I always encourage students to practice, I also understand that life gets busy. I love it when students practice, but I also don’t want anyone to feel too stressed about not having a lot of time to play piano. Slow progress is still progress, and as long as the student loves to play piano, I am happy! 🎶

March 29: World Piano Day

World Piano Day is celebrated every year on the 88th day of the calendar, which in 2026 falls on March 29. The choice of this number is not accidental; it is a date that, in itself, is a tribute to the instrument.

Why is this day celebrated?

The answer lies in the keys. A standard piano has 88 keys (52 white and 36 black), making the 88th day of the year the perfect date to celebrate. In leap years, this day falls on March 28; in other years, it falls on March 29.

The initiative was launched in 2015 by Nils Frahm, a German composer and pianist based in Berlin. The idea was simple: to create a day that would bring together all piano lovers, regardless of age, musical style, or skill level. Since then, the celebration has grown to involve musicians from more than 40 countries.
