🎤 That’s a wrap on Health Science Mock Interviews!

Our Health Science students finished up their mock interviews today, and they did an amazing job stepping outside their comfort zones and gaining real-world experience. 💼✨

One of the best pieces of feedback from students? They feel more confident now that they know what to expect when they walk into a real interview. That confidence is exactly what these experiences are all about!

A special thank you to Mrs. Rumble with Terrace Manor Nursing and Rehab for taking time out of her busy schedule to come back for a second day in a row to interview our students. We truly appreciate your time, encouragement, and willingness to invest in the next generation of healthcare professionals! ❤️

Mrs. Rikard works hard to make sure her students are not only learning the skills of Health Science, but are also workplace ready. Experiences like this help turn classroom learning into confidence, professionalism, and preparation for what comes next! 👏🏼

🎤 Mock Interviews = SUCCESS! 🎤

Today, Mrs. Rikards’ Health Science students stepped outside their comfort zones and put their professional skills to the test with mock interviews!

Students came dressed and ready to impress and while there were definitely some nerves beforehand, they walked out of their interviews with nothing but smiles and a little more confidence! 👏🏼

A HUGE thank-you to representatives from Terrace Manor Nursing and Rehab, Decatur Morgan Hospital, and Tennessee Valley Pediatrics for volunteering your time to interview our students today. Your willingness to share your experiences, explain your roles, and give students real-world feedback made this experience so valuable. This day truly would not have been a success without you! ❤️

These experiences are about more than answering interview questions—they’re about building confidence, learning how to present yourself professionally, and realizing that you are capable of more than you think!

🏗️ 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️Mrs. Garrett got to tag along with our Construction Technology students on a field trip to Athens today, and WOW.. what a day! 🤩

Our students spent the day at Grayson Carter & Son Contracting, Inc., and we truly got to see the BIG picture of what a career in construction can look like!

We got to:
🔨 See projects from the ground up
🪨 Visit the rock quarry
👷‍♂️ Learn about their internship opportunities for students 18 and older
💬 Hear directly from current interns about their experiences
🎓 Meet former interns who are now full-time employees
🏗️ See firsthand how all the different pieces of the construction industry come together

And let’s just say… the Alabama heat decided to join us on this field trip, too. 🥵😂 It was HOT, y’all. But our students hung in there, stayed engaged, asked great questions, and soaked up every bit of the experience.. literally and figuratively! ☀️🤣

Honestly, this was one of the best field trips I’ve been on! There was SO much learning, information, and real-world career exploration packed into one day. Our students got to ask questions, see the work in action, and hear from people who were once sitting exactly where they are now.

Your willingness to invest in students and show them what their future could look like means so much! ❤️

Today was a perfect example of why career-connected learning matters. Sometimes the best classroom has a hard hat, a pair of boots, a little Alabama sunshine 🥵, and a front-row seat to the real thing!

We truly got to see the big picture today and it was pretty awesome!!!🤩

We had a little surprise for our school counselors for back to school! Each counselor received a blanket or umbrella, along with a small gift, as a reminder that “We’ve got you covered!”

We are so thankful for the counselors who work alongside us to support, encourage, and guide our students every day. Career Coaches + School Counselors make a pretty great team! 🤝

A big THANK YOU to our Red Bay teachers for welcoming the Franklin County Career Coaches into your classrooms this morning! ❤️🐅

We worked our way around campus and were able to visit most classrooms with students in grades 9–12 to complete career assessments. We appreciate our teachers being flexible with us and allowing us the time to work with your students!

🎯 Why do career assessments matter?
These assessments help students better understand their interests, skills, and work values and how those connect to potential careers. More importantly, the results help us create meaningful opportunities for students throughout the year, including ✨Table Talks✨ Remember to be invited on a Table Talk, you must complete all 3 assessments!
