RHS Class of 2026 alumnus PFC Anthony Sierra came by RHS Friday with US Marine Corp Recruiter SSGT Borgens to visit former classmates and share about his recent experience in recruit training at Camp Pendleton in San Diego.
PFC Sierra will complete his specialized training for the US Marine Corp Reserve this semester and will begin ATU in Spring 2027.

Less than 1% of all high school graduates in the US enlist in the Armed Forces. With recent new statewide graduation honors implemented, all 2027 and beyond graduates in Arkansas who enlist in the Armed Forces before graduation will earn a Diploma with Distinction, the state’s highest level of recognition for graduates.

Career Coaches will be explaining all pathway options for RHS students to earn a Diploma with Merit or a Diploma with Distinction during September meetings.

We had a great turnout for our new student lunches today. New students were able to ask questions and share their experiences over the past eight days of being at RHS. And they got some Cyclone swag in their new student boxes! Welcome to RHS!

Our first ever movie night was a huge success! Over 275 students showed up at Cyclone Stadium with their blankets and lawn chairs to watch a movie and hang out. Thank you to the RHS Student Council and Mrs. Cobb for an amazing night!

Senior Yareli Mondragon volunteered this summer to brighten up the Spanish and Social Studies hallways. She did an outstanding job! We have so much talent at RHS!

Students had a great time this morning during our annual get-together-know-you event! Team Purple X captained by Kate Gordon won the contest and will receive a pizza party next week.
It’s a great start to the year for RHS!

REMINDERS:
-There will be NO Smart Start on Monday this year. Students will report according to their regular school schedule.
-Your lunch is based on where your fourth period class is. Bottom floor is first lunch, (first floor=first lunch) top floor is second lunch (second floor = second lunch).
-Try to arrive early, the first day is always a little hectic!

RHS teachers went through multiple team-building activities with the staff from ExCEL at the Vines 4-H Center in Little Rock. We had a great time, and we are ready to welcome over 1,200 Cyclones Monday morning!
