RMS was a little brighter yesterday for our Let’s Glow Neon Day! Our students and staff showed up in their brightest colors and brought plenty of Golden Tiger spirit with them! 🐅🖤💛

Our RMS Golden Tigers kicked off their season Monday night at Lawrence County! The scoreboard didn’t go our way, but our Golden Tigers played hard, competed until the end, and gave us plenty to be proud of. One game down and a whole season of growth ahead. Keep working, Golden Tigers! 🐅

Today’s Liberty Learning session introduced students to the lessons and characters found in the American Character program for 6th graders. Throughout this year, students will learn about a variety of historical figures through character education lessons. Each lesson also connects to the new Alabama Course of Study for Social Studies. Students will learn about Amerigo Vespucci, Pocahontas, Benjamin Franklin, Phyllis Wheatley, Haym Solomon, and Helen Keller to name a few. We are excited for this learning opportunity for RMS 6th graders this year! Liberty Learning Foundation

Today was an exciting day at Russellville Middle School as Liberty Learning Foundation’s Madeline Cooper kicked off the first lesson of our American Character program!

Students traveled back to the Age of Discovery and met two early explorers, Amerigo Vespucci and Hernando de Soto. They discovered how their journeys helped shape what we know about the Americas. 🇺🇸
