Today, 8 students completed their Microsoft Office Specialist certifications making them “Microsoft Office Certified”. During the past few months they have practiced and studied Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and passed their final certification test this morning! Congratulations, we are so proud of you!

On Wednesday we had Amy Seal, Loan Officer at Alabama Central Credit Union, visit with our class to talk about all things money management, checking, savings, and budgeting! We learned a lot of valuable information and really enjoyed her visit! Students also learned and/or practiced how to sign their names in cursive if they did not already know how to do so!

We kicked off National CTE month by welcoming Denine O’Neal into our classroom! Denine is an Information Security Specialist at CB&S Bank, and is also on our Advisory Board at FCCTC. She spoke with students on a wide range of topics including information technology, finance, cybersecurity and more. She even threw in some life lessons and answered questions on just about any topic! We are so thankful for Denine’s ongoing partnership with FCCTC Business and her willingness to come visit us every year! Stay tuned for more guest speakers!

The 2nd Annual Franklin County Spark Tank was a success! 14 teams from Belgreen, Phil Campbell, and Red Bay pitched innovative ideas and products to our panel of esteemed judges. They all recieved breakfast and tshirts and competed to win $1,200 in prize money thanks to our generous sponsors! This day could not have been possible without a lot of help from FCCTC staff and the Red Bay Business Teacher, Emily Hester and the Phil Campbell Business Teacher, Taylor Godsey! Thank you again to everyone who had a hand in making this event possible for our Franklin County students! ❤️💡💭

Our FBLA students had a highly productive and engaging day in Nashville! We participated in the Tennessee Titans Learning Lab experience at Nissan Stadium, where students gained a comprehensive understanding of the operational and business aspects of the organization. They were introduced to various career opportunities/paths available within the sports industry. Following our visit to the Titans, we enjoyed a great lunch at Raising Cane’s, followed by a quick stop at Buc-ee’s on the way home. Throughout the day, the students consistently demonstrated exceptional behavior and manners! It was a great day! A huge thank you to the Franklin County Career Coaches for helping sponsor and chaperone this trip!! We couldn’t do it without you!!

For Halloween, our Digital Media students created & delivered coloring books for the Belgreen Pre-K class! 🧡👻🕷️🎃
