Today the Construction Technology class visited Grayson Carter and Son in Athens, AL. Students saw different aspects of the Civil Construction general contractor operation including their rock quarry, asphalt mill, and the groundwork at a soon to be shopping complex. Huge thanks to Grayson for spending the day with us and feeding the students lunch! 🎉 CTSO Kickoff at FCCTC! 🎉

FCCTC’s Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) held their first meetings of the school year! Students kicked off the year by learning more about their organizations, making plans for the year ahead, and electing their 2026–2027 CTSO officers! 👏

CTSOs give our students opportunities to build leadership skills, serve their communities, compete, network, and grow professionally—all while gaining valuable experience connected to their career pathways.

We are excited to see what our student leaders and CTSOs accomplish this year! Congratulations to all of our newly elected officers! 🌟

Our teachers and staff have been hard at work all week preparing, planning, and getting everything ready—but today was the moment we’ve been waiting for: our students are back! 🎉📚❤️

There’s something special about seeing our classrooms filled again with smiling faces, big dreams, and new possibilities. We’re so excited about all the great things we have planned this year and, even more, about the opportunity to learn, grow, and make memories together.

And we have to admit… it feels pretty great to have our team back together, too! 🥰🙌

🚍✨ Today, our Career Tech teachers and staff took a break from preparing for the upcoming school year to experience learning from the other side of the classroom!

We had the incredible opportunity to tour B&B Roadway, Assa Abloy and we are so grateful for their warm hospitality and informative experience. A huge thank you to the team at B&B for giving us an inside look at the amazing work happening right here in our community!

It’s inspiring to see how Franklin County industries are making a tremendous impact around the world. Experiences like this help us better prepare our students for the exciting career opportunities waiting for them after graduation.

We can’t wait to bring what we learned back to our classrooms and continue connecting students with the skills and industries that are shaping the future! 🌎🔧🏭

Day 2 at the Alabama Career Tech Summer Conference is in the books! ☀️📚

Today, we split into our individual content areas and spent the day learning, collaborating, and gathering new ideas from career and technical education professionals across Alabama. Every session challenged us to think bigger, work smarter, and find new ways to better serve our students.

A special shoutout to our Career Coaches, who did an incredible job presenting on several of the signature events we host at Franklin County Career Technical Center. It was exciting to share ideas that have made an impact in our community while also learning from the amazing work happening in other districts.

We’re also incredibly proud of our director, Jonathan King, who was recognized as a finalist for Alabama Career Technical Administrator of the Year. This nomination reflects his outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to providing exceptional opportunities for our students and staff.

The best part? We aren’t just leaving with notebooks full of ideas—we’re coming home with new strategies, stronger connections, fresh resources, and renewed excitement for the school year ahead. We can’t wait to put these ideas into action for our students, teachers, counselors, business partners, and community.

We’re having a great time, but we’re even more excited about what we’re bringing back to Franklin County. The future is bright, and we can’t wait to get started! ❤️🩶
