Our mission at Empower Academy is to inspire the next generation of beauty professionals through exceptional post-secondary education. We are committed to providing a comprehensive curriculum that meets state licensing and certification requirements, fostering creativity, technical excellence, and a passion for lifelong learning. Our goal is to equip our students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to prepare students to pass state licensing exam and obtain gainful employment in the beauty industry. We aim for each student to not only master the essential principles of cosmetology, esthetics, nail technology, apprentice and shampoo stylist but also harness their creativity, with our support, to achieve their personal best. The primary mission of Empower Academy is to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the cosmetology profession. To achieve this goal, the academy provides comprehensive training in the artistry of cosmetology, including techniques, poise, charm, self-reliance, personal hygiene, marketing, and business practices. This curriculum is designed to thoroughly prepare students for the State Board Cosmetology Examination.

We’re proud to introduce Amanda, our Part-Time Instructor at Empower Academy School of Beauty! 💇‍♀️✂️

Amanda brings an incredible 26 years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist and 18 years of experience in education to our team!

She also has post-esthetic training and education experience and is the proud operator of Amanda’s Do or Dye Salon! 💖

We are so thankful to have Amanda’s knowledge, experience, and passion for the beauty industry helping inspire and educate the next generation of beauty professionals! 🎓✨

We are so proud to introduce Abby Baker, a talented licensed cosmetologist and licensed cosmetology instructor who is now helping shape the next generation of beauty professionals at Empower Academy! 🧡💙

Abby is a proud Empower Academy alumna of both our Cosmetology Program and Apprentice Instructor Program, making her journey especially meaningful. She has gone from being an Empower student to becoming an educator within the very school that helped launch her career.

With two years of experience in the beauty industry, Abby brings passion, creativity, and a genuine desire to help others succeed. She loves sharing her knowledge and helping aspiring beauty professionals build their skills, confidence, and knowledge as they prepare for careers in the beauty industry.

WAY TO GO LISA....When we snapped this photo she was hard at work studying for her test!

Lisa is from Cambodia. She came to Empower Academy speaking no English whatsoever. She's worked so hard and our team has provided support to help Lisa learn English and to translate the Milady Nail Technology book.

Lisa plans to work with her husband at a nail salon in Ashland after she passes her boards.
