Goodbye for now!

The Swallow-tailed Kite migration flood gate has opened. All but two of the GPS-tracked kites have left Florida. Together with Orleans Audubon Society we gather data on kite habitat use, nesting, roosting, and stopover sites as well as winter destinations and migration changes over time. Please see our blog to learn more about each kite, our introduction to Steel, as well as memories of some of the kites we lost this season. Big thanks to the many many supporter, collaborators, and funding sources that have made this research possible!
