🐾 There’s a new DOG in the halls at RIS! Help us welcome Mr. Moore, our first WATCH D.O.G.S. volunteer of the year!

WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Student) brings dads and other father figures onto campus to support students and staff, serve as positive role models, and provide extra eyes and ears throughout the school day.

Thank you, Mr. Moore, for sharing your time with our RIS family! It means so much to have caring adults showing up, cheering our students on, and helping make our school a great place to be! 🐾

We’re spending the entire month of October celebrating our very own Mrs. Townsend, and we’re making sure she feels every bit of the love she pours into RIS!

Last week, we focused on FIND JOY… in the little things! Our staff spent the week sharing little pieces of their own joy with Mrs. Townsend through favorite treats, special trinkets, thoughtful notes, and little surprises. Just a small way to return some of the joy she brings to RIS every day! 💕

This week, we’re focusing on UPLIFT OTHERS! Mrs. Townsend spends her days encouraging, supporting, and lifting up everyone around her. So this week, it was OUR turn to lift HER up!

During Life Lab, EVERY SINGLE student at RIS wrote and illustrated how “Mrs. Townsend makes our school better because…” Today, we surprised her with a binder filled with hundreds of heartfelt messages from the little people who matter most!

Mrs. Townsend, we hope that on the hard days, you’ll open this book and remember just how many little hearts you’re making a BIG difference in. 💜

At RIS, attendance means so much more than a name checked off on a list. It means another day to learn something new, make a memory with a friend, hear an encouraging word from a teacher, and discover what you’re capable of. Our school is a happier place when our students are here!

To celebrate, ALL students with perfect attendance for the first nine weeks were entered into a drawing. With the help of our wonderful PTO, one student from each grade won a $25 gift card!

🎉 Congratulations to 4th grader Haylen and 5th grader Zoey! 🎉

We are proud of our winners and every student who achieved perfect attendance!

Thank you to our PTO for helping us make these celebrations possible. And to our parents and students, thank you for the early alarms, the busy mornings, and the effort it takes to show up each day. Behind every student walking through our doors is a family helping them get here, and that means more than you know.

We love getting to be a part of your children’s days. Thank you for being a part of ours. 💜

Today, the birthday spotlight is shining on Addelyne, Orca, Zayne, Conner, and our very own Mrs. Crisp! 🎈

That’s a whole lot of birthday magic happening around our campus! We hope these five get spoiled with birthday wishes, a little extra F.U.N., and plenty of cake! 💜

Happy Birthday to our fabulous five! We love you! 🎉

Today is World Dyslexia Day, and at RIS, we’re celebrating the unique ways our students learn, grow, and shine!

Dyslexia doesn’t define a student’s intelligence or potential, and we’re so thankful for three special ladies who remind our students of that every day; Mrs. Simpson, Mrs. Holcomb, and Mrs. Gates!

These ladies do more than teach reading. They build confidence, celebrate progress, encourage perseverance, and help our students recognize just how capable they truly are!

Thank you for helping our students Find Joy in learning, Uplift Others, and Notice the Good in themselves!

Happy World Dyslexia Day from RIS! 💗
