Children are given the opportunity to explore materials and participate in a variety of experiences. Activities are carefully pla
nned and implemented in an open-classroom setting. Children are free to choose from age-appropriate activities including art, music, language development, fine and gross motor, science and nature, and dramatic play. My curriculum includes the basics that contribute to the child's social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development. These basics are learning to work as an individual as well as in a group environment. They will also learn to share and respect each other as well as other things. Children learn best when they are encouraged to learn and develop at their own pace in a nurturing and loving environment. By encouraging children, they will gain the assurance of strong self-esteem. My primary goal is for children to feel safe and secure. I will provide protection, security, stimulation, support, limits, and affection. Children are respected as individuals within a child-oriented rather than teacher-directed program Prior to being independent a child must know that he or she can depend on adults and a predictable environment. Children are treated with respect and kindness. I recognize that children develop at different rates and have different interests. As a cooperative, I will work with parents to promote continuity in a child’s experience at home and at the childcare home. A cooperative childcare home consists of parents, children, and members of the community working together to provide a safe and nurturing environment that supports a quality childcare experience for the children. I feel that parents are the most important influence in a child’s life. Not only do children benefit, but parents do also by becoming actively involved in their child’s development and helping in the planning and implementation of the child care. Parents have both the right and responsibility to share in decisions about their child’s care and development. Miss Lauren's Qualifications:
The Preschool/Daycare will be led by Lauren Perin. Lauren earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Ball State University. Lauren has been state licensed to teach Preschool and Elementary School. Services offered:
Full time child care for children. Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
Developmentally Appropriate Materials/Preschool activities
Breakfast, lunch, and two snacks provided
Consistent schedule/routine Monday through Friday. Redirect inappropriate behaviors
