We are truly blessed to have such an amazing community! This week we are learning the importance of community helpers, while also stressing the importance of reading. We started off today by having Deputy Prosecutor David Thompson read his favorite book to us. If you would like to come in and read to one of our classes please reach out!

Get ready to travel the world without leaving Rushville at Love Around the World!

The first 100 visitors will receive a special festival passport to collect stamps from vendor tables throughout the event. It’s the perfect way to explore, play, and experience something new around every corner.

Come enjoy a day filled with hands-on fun and international experiences, including:

chopstick games
building a LEGO castle
learning how to play indoor soccer
tea with the Queen
live cooking demonstrations
shopping local vendors
games, activities, and so much more

Even if the weather didn’t cooperate, we still celebrated Easter and Spring!
A trip to Sunrise Greenhouse to plant flowers, hunt for Easter eggs and celebrate Miss Audrey’s birthday. Egg races, Easter science experiments and a visit from the Bunny himself for our party. Rain or shine, we still know how to have fun!

We celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday all last week. We ended the week with eating green eggs and ham and receiving a free book from ’s State Bank and Bennett for Read Across America Day!

Recently we were able to take a field trip to our wonderful Love Center. We were able to visit the Rushville Public Library and listen to a story with Miss Ashley and Miss Pam, take a tour of the Rush County Community Assistance Food Pantry, and utilize all the perks of the Rush County Recreation Center. We were able to play in the brand new Love to Play Haven Sensory Room and even got to take a cardio drumming class with Miss Tonya! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful facility in our community!

Christmas is such a magical time of year and we are truly privileged to have a front row seat to see it all through the eyes of children. We have decorated, colored, painted, glittered, glued, and sang our hearts out this Christmas season. We built elf traps with Miss Arika (unfortunately unsuccessful) and learned about pine cones with Mrs. Fudge. Did you know you could plant a pine cone? Neither did we! We got to see Santa and whisper our wishes. We wore our pajamas and drank hot cocoa. But the best of all has been to see the children learn that it is better to give than to receive. Our students and their families donated items to our local food pantry that will be delivered on the 23rd. How fantastic to watch these children growing into GOOD humans.
Miss Audrey, Miss Ashley, and Miss Kristen are exhausted and definitely need some rest. But we all agree… we have the best job ever! Merry Christmas to each and every one of you!
