🎣 IHSA Bass Fishing Sectionals Update! 🎣

Today, Rylan Reimolds and Nolan Kettering with Boat Captain Brian Lafferty represented Rushville-Industry High School at the IHSA Bass Fishing Sectionals at Lake Springfield. While they didn’t get the result they were hoping for and just missed advancing to the state tournament, they still had a strong showing with a full 5-fish limit weighing in at 9.21 pounds! 💪🐟

These two– along with the entire RIHS Bass Fishing Team – have had a spectacular season. We’re proud of their hard work, sportsmanship, and dedication all year long. Great job, boys! 👏

Regional Champs!

🎣 Congratulations to Nolan Kettering, Rylan Reimolds, and Boat Captain Brian Lafferty! 🏆

They brought home the win at the Pittsfield Bass Fishing Regional held at Lake Pittsfield on May 15th with an impressive bag of 5 fish weighing in at 10.4 pounds!

Next stop: Lake Springfield on May 22nd for the sectional competition! Let’s show them our support as they continue their journey.

What an incredible day at the Dale Wenger Memorial Bass Fishing Tournament held on May 10th at beautiful Schuy-Rush Lake in Rushville, Illinois!

We had a fantastic turnout and some impressive catches. Congratulations to our winners:
• 1st Place: Keith Curless and Daniel Curless with a five-fish total of 12.20 lbs
• 2nd Place: Alec Taylor and Alec Lyle with five fish totaling 10.8 lbs
• 3rd Place: Brian Lafferty and Travis Wilson with five fish weighing 9.20 lbs
• Big Bass Winner: Zach Wenger with a monster catch at 5.9 lbs!

A huge thank you to our generous sponsors, Dot Foods and Refreshment Services Pepsi. Your support helped make this event a great success.

Also, a big shoutout to Schuy-Rush Lake for waiving launch fees for the day—your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Strong Showing by the Rushville-Industry Bass Fishing Team at Jacksonville Lake!

The team competed in the AC Central Bass Fishing Tournament today and brought home two Top 5 finishes — a great effort all around!

4th Place Finish:
Arlan Tatum, Matt Claudius, and Zach Wenger weighed in 2 fish totaling 5.29 lbs.

5th Place Finish:
Nolan Kettering and Rylan Reimolds brought in a 4.77 lb single catch.

Carter McCombs and Landon McCulloch added to the board with 2 fish weighing 2.45 lbs.

Gavin Jacobs, Lucas Moranville, and Hunter Reich gave it their all but didn’t bring in any fish this time — great effort and determination!

Proud of all our anglers for their hard work, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Keep it up, Rockets!

Big congratulations to our Rushville Industry Bass Fishing Team anglers!
Zack Wenger brought home a 3rd place finish at the Jarod Robeson Memorial Redbird Open Bass Fishing Tournament this Sunday at Prairie Lake with a solid catch — one fish weighing 4.3 pounds!

Also representing the team were Nolan Kettering and Rylan Reynolds, who secured 8th place with two fish weighing a combined 1.13 pounds.

Great job to all our anglers for battling tough conditions and making Rushville Industry proud!

Rushville Industry High School Bass Fishing Team Shines at Springfield Lake!

Our RIHS Bass Fishing Team had a great day on the water at the Rochester High School Tournament held at Springfield Lake! We’re proud to announce two top 10 finishes:
• Arlan Tatum and Matt Claudius, along with Captain Tim Wooldridge, brought in an impressive 5 fish for 11.32 pounds, earning them a 5th place finish!
• Nolan Kettering and Rylan Reimolds, with Captain Brian Lafferty, landed 5 fish weighing 10.01 pounds, finishing strong in 9th place!

Other team members also had great performances:
• Cole Collins and Carter McCombs, with Captain Herb McCombs, caught 3 fish for a total of 5.59 pounds.
• Zach Wenger and Lucas Moranville, with Captain Paul Keller, reeled in 4 fish weighing 5.37 pounds.

Way to go, Rockets! We’re proud of all of you for representing Rushville Industry so well. Keep grinding and tight lines!

The Rushville Industry Bass Fishing Team had another outstanding performance at the Macomb Bomber Open held at Spring Lake, bringing home three top-five finishes and continuing their dominance on the water.

Congratulations to the tournament champions Carter Macombs and Cole Collins, with captain Herb McCombs, who secured first place with an impressive three-fish haul weighing 10.14 pounds.

Arlan Tatum and Matt Claudius with captain Art Ament, followed closely behind in second place, weighing in four fish at 10.14 pounds, showing just how tight the competition was.

Rounding out the top five were Rushville Industry’s own Nolan Kettering and Rylan Reimolds, with captain Brian Lafferty, who claimed fifth place with two fish totaling 5.12 pounds.

This marks the second consecutive year that Rushville Industry has captured the title at Spring Lake — a testament to the hard work, dedication, and skill of our student anglers. Way to go, team!

The Rushville-Industry Bass Fishing Team officially kicked off their season this weekend on Banner Marsh and Prairie Lake. It wasn’t an easy start—fishing was tough all around—but we’re proud of our teams for sticking it out and staying competitive.

Big shoutout to Zach Winger for landing the weekend’s highlight catch—a single fish weighing in at an impressive 5.12 pounds!

Even when the bites are few, the effort and determination are strong. Let’s keep supporting our anglers—they’ll be back on the water next weekend, ready to fight for the next big catch!
