Last week the students went on a trip to Springfield! The first stop was Scheels! They learned about the unique and very successful business model of this entertainment retail business and the history of this family/employee owned company.

They enjoyed being the scenes tour seeing just what goes in to maintain a store of this size!

Today the students had their Mock Trade Show! They got to practice setting up their booths, giving their pitches and interacting with the middle school students. It was a great marketing opportunity and chance to receive feedback and make any tweaks!

We can’t wait for the real thing on Thursday don’t miss support these hard working creative students!

Today the students got to tour the new Yingling Builders offices and fabulous design studio. They also gave then a tour of several beautiful new homes!

Owners Seth and Stephanie Yingling spoke with the students about their journey to this business. They shared about the process and steps they take to create the best possible experience for their customers.

Thank you to Seth and Stephanie, we are thankful to have another excellent example of entrepreneurship investing their time and talents into CEO!

Last week CEO went on a visit to the Pig and Platter. They got to tour the restaurant and speak with Chef Todd Bogeart who made the a delicious treat!

The students also got to hear from manager Tracy Hodges and building owner Tom McMurren.

They spoke to the students about the restaurant industry and overall business and life advice. The also learned about the history behind the unique decore in the building.

Today the students heard from Jeff Bottorff. Jeff is a retired Dot Foods Executive, basketball coach and has a consulting business.

Jeff spoke with the students about the value of LinkedIn. He shared some great tips on how and when to use the platform. He also spoke with the about the importance of connections and networking.
