Runnells PTA Ice Cream Social is Tonight-Thursday, May 23rd! While you're there stop by for the last chance Scholastic Book Fair BOGO Sale in the Runnells Community Library also open 4-7:30 to support our school, stock up and beat the summer boredom!

All Runnells Elementary students were treated to ice cream compliments of our Runnells PTA and Lori’s Ice Cream Shoppe to celebrate all of their end of school year accomplishments!

Runnells Elementary graduate Dollars for Scholars Runnells PTA scholarship recipients are Zeb Hintz, Alex Sagar & Antonio Loving(not pictured). All of the funds generously donated to our Runnells PTA Dollars for Scholars Meal in September have provided these scholarships yearly!

Mrs. Vonbank & Mrs. Shannon’s 2nd grade classes expanded their nature knowledge at Thomas Mitchell Park with their teachers and the Polk County Conservation naturalist Heidi. Our Runnells PTA is happy to help cover the cost of field trips like this one bringing the classroom outdoors!

The 4th & 5th Graders went on a fun 2-day Nature Retreat organized by their teachers-Mrs. Nesheim, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Goode & Mrs. Logan with the support of our Runnells PTA. The students learned about animals, plants, art, history and survival in nature during programs provided by the DNR, Polk County Conservation, the Blank Park Zoo & our SEP staff along with many team building activities!

With your support of our Runnells Elementary PTA we have recently purchased noise cancelling headphones, wireless mouses & Scholastic magazines for the classrooms along with ball storage bins for recess the students at Runnells Elementary appreciate very much!
