Ten 8th graders were invited to the Co-Cathedral for the Catholic Athletes for Christ Leadership Conference. 💙💛⚽️🏀HCA joined students from 7 high schools and 2 other middle schools to listen to the keynote speaker, Jack Litsky. Jack shared his story of surviving the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and carried a paralyzed coworker down over 40 flights of stairs to safety. 💙💛🙏👋Litsky spoke about friendship, prayer and teamwork. Quinlan, a HCA student, shared what resonated with him about the talk-“Friends help friends. This is something very important to me.” 😀💙💛🙏

HCA middle school students brought their summer reading to life with creative projects inspired by their “Choice” books. Some works included The Hobbit, Ender’s Game, Wish, and Bridge to Terabithia💙💛📚

Students then participated in a Gallery Walk, viewing their classmates’ projects, sharing their thoughts, and commenting on what they enjoyed most about each one. It was a great way to celebrate creativity, reading and learning from one another! Go Raiders! 💙💛📚
