Art with Mr. Brent

Art with Mr. Brent Brent Bachelder is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and offers art classes in Rumford. Mr. Primarily, Mr. Programs have been developed for R.I.S.D.

Brent is available to work with schools and organizations to brainstorm, design and implement high quality educational art programs for all ages. These multi-class projects can be of any subject matter and can be tailored to match your specific needs, or he can utilize one of his existing curricula. Brent specializes in creating large collaborative mural installations, sculptural projects and draw

ing/ painting programs, but the use of other concepts and materials can be implemented as well. Utilizing the S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) approach, he can design a program in almost any subject matter. Classes can be scheduled for any time of day and for any duration. They can be incorporated into your existing programs or can be it’s own unique, stand-alone project. Recent and future 2D projects include murals of The Universe, The Planet Earth, The State of RI, The United States, Environmental Biomes, Quality of Life, History of Whaling and Weather Systems, and more. Recent and future 3D projects include Bridges & Skyscrapers, Dinosaurs, Inventing Robots, Remote Control Cars, Rube Goldberg Machines, The Systems of the Body, and more. Continuing Education, Providence CityArts for Youth, Riverzedge Art Project, VSA Arts of RI, Providence After School Alliance, The City of Providence, Learning Community Charter School, Highlander Charter School, Providence School Dept., Pawtucket School Dept, Exeter/West Greenwich School Dept., Olneyville Community School, The Education Partnership, The Providence Boys & Girls Club, The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council, the East Side Art Center, The Met School, The Adult Correctional Institute, Tides Family Services among others. ALRIGHT!

I just finished up the planning for the fall session classes! There will be 14 classes in this series, starting on Saturday, September 12, 2026 running through December 19. Classes are still $20 per child per class, and you must sign up for the entire session. Pay weekly, or save 10% if you pay in full.

Half of the classes are 2D and half are 3D. There are a few classes returning that I have done before, but most are all new projects! I will be making it all into a pretty flyer, but I wanted to get this info out sooner than later.

If you are an existing student and are returning (or not), please let me know ASAP, if you haven't already! Also contact me if you are interested in signing up your child (there is a short waiting list).

Does your kiddo like to draw cartoons? Would they like to learn more? The class tomorrow (Tuesday) is from 10am-12noon, costs $20 and they leave with a sketchbook and the knowledge of how to draw people better! A few spots are still open!
