Happy Teacher Appreciation Day! 🏴‍☠️ Although we officially wrapped up the school year today, we spent all last week showering our Mark Twain Pirates with the lunch, treats, and gifts they deserve!

Our teachers are nothing short of incredible. They give their all every single day, and we are so lucky to be part of a community that values education so deeply. To the teachers who go above and beyond to make sure every student feels seen and supported—thank you for all you do! 🌟

Below we invited her to share a few words about herself ⬇️

“I’m so excited to be joining Mark Twain School—it truly feels like coming home! I was born and raised in the Protem area and even went to elementary school here (just a couple years ago 😉).

I’ve been married to my husband, Justin, for 26 years. We stay busy with our small cattle farm, our business (Southern Construction), and raising our three amazing kids. Paitin lives in Kansas and is a school counselor, and her fiancé, Kimble, teaches PE. Our son, Seth, attends College of the Ozarks studying agriculture, and our youngest, Lydia, is a sophomore at Bradleyville High School—we love cheering her on in all the sports and school activities!

I hold degrees in Elementary Education, Special Education, Early Childhood, Special Reading, and Administration. My favorite part of teaching is simple—the kids. I can’t wait to be back at Mark Twain and continue to be a part of this wonderful community!”
