The mission of the Royston Public Library is to provide organized access to information and services for all citizens of Royston, Franklin County, and beyond in order to meet their educational, recreational, social, and cultural needs. Monday & Friday: 10am-6pm
Tuesday & Thursday: 10am-8pm
Saturday: 10am-2pm

~ADULT PLAYDATE~
🎨Sign up for October's Adult PlayDate program, painting barn quilt squares! We'll provide four different patterns that you can paint. This takes place on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 3:30 -5:30 P.M.
~PRESCHOOL STORYTIME~
📖 Join us for stories, songs, and crafts for Storytime at 11:00 AM!
~HEY TEENS!~
🧟‍♀️We will be hosting our Zombie Barbie program on Thursday, October 15, 2026, starting at 5:00 P.M. This program is for grades 5 through 12.
~FIBER ARTS YARN CIRCLE~
🧶Join us as we "wrap" the evening of Thursday, October 15, 2026, off with our Fiber Arts Yarn Circle crochet club at 6:00 PM! Crocheters and crafters of all levels are welcome!
🏒Also, until December 20, 2026, the Athens Rock Lobster hockey team is hosting a reading challenge for school-aged readers! Earn prizes for reading 250, 500, 750, and 1,000 minutes!

Here are the upcoming events at the Royston Public Library for the week of September 28th - October 2nd, 2026!

Thursday, October 1st, is jam-packed with fun activities!

📖First, we have our Storytime at 11:00 AM! Join Mrs. Sarah for stories, songs, and crafts!

🎬🍿Then, at 5:00 PM, our Teen Program will be watching the movie of the book they discussed last week for book club. This will allow them to compare and contrast the same story, conveyed through different media.

🧶Last but not least, we'll "wrap" the day off with our Fiber Arts Yarn Circle crochet club at 6:00 PM! Crocheters and crafters of all levels are welcome!

🍂🍁We can't be-LEAF that next week, all three of our Book Club meetings are happening! So, this is a great time to FALL into a good BOOK CLUB!🍁🍂

On Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 4:00 P.M., our Teens are meeting to discuss "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins.

Then at 6:00 P.M. on the same day, our Cover 2 Cover adult Book Club is meeting to discuss "A Mind to Murder" by P.D. James.

Wrapping up the week on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 4:30 P.M., our Young Adult Book Tasting group is meeting to discuss either their favorite Biography or the one they've been reading most recently at our "Biography Buffet." A buffet of snacks will be provided!

Come "check out" all of the amazing programs happening at your local library!
