Our 5th grade GT students wrapped up their Genius Hour projects today, and wow—what an impressive showcase of curiosity and creativity! Each student began the semester by submitting a proposal for a research topic they were passionate about, then spent the last 3 months diving deep into their learning. Today, they proudly presented their work by creating and sharing their own Google websites with peers. From start to finish, this project was completely student-driven, and it truly shows! I am so proud of their hard work, dedication, and confidence as young researchers.

Through a hands-on contact tracing activity, 5th gradeGT students worked together to track the “infection trail” and figure out how it spread. Lots of critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving happening as they pieced together the clues!
