🎓 SENIORS: “I have all my math credits. Do I REALLY need math senior year?”

Maybe not to graduate, but that doesn’t automatically mean you should skip it. 👀

If college is your next step, continuing math can be a smart move.

There ARE good reasons to skip math, especially if you’re replacing it with rigorous dual credit, advanced CTE, or coursework aligned with your goals.

✨ Don’t just ask, “Do I need it to graduate?”

Ask: “Will my senior schedule prepare me for what’s NEXT?”

🚨 Student-athletes & families: Choosing the wrong class can cost you NCAA eligibility.

Before you finalize your schedule:
✅ Verify every core class is NCAA approved.
✅ Double-check online, summer school, and credit recovery courses before enrolling.
✅ Confirm that any high school courses taken in middle school (like Algebra I or Spanish I) appear on your high school transcript and are NCAA approved.
✅ Review your school’s NCAA-approved course list every year—course approvals can change.

How do you check? Visit the NCAA Eligibility Center’s approved course search, enter your high school’s six-digit NCAA code (or search by school name), and review your school’s current list of approved core courses. If you’re unsure, ask your school counselor before making schedule changes.

🚨 Texas A&M Applicants, Take Note! 🤠📚

Texas A&M has updated its 2026–2027 Common App! In addition to the personal essay, applicants will now complete four new required short-answer essays.

This gives you even more opportunities to help admissions understand who you are beyond your transcript.
