Pope John Paul II High School is seeking a Part-Time Italian Teacher to join our team!

The position will teach two sections of Italian I, with a focus on foundational vocabulary, grammar, and Italian language and culture. Native Italian speakers are welcome and encouraged to apply!

Qualifications:
🎓 Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
🍎 A passion for creating engaging learning experiences for high school students

Football kicks off their season next Friday, August 28th at 7:00 PM against Lansdale Catholic at home. Join us for Alumni Night. We were delighted to welcome members of the Knights of Columbus, Perkiomen Valley Council 3633, to PJP as they presented a generous $1,500 grant in support of our new Golden Panther Ambassadors Program!

Their gift will help students develop their confidence, strengthen their leadership and public-speaking skills, and gain valuable experience representing PJP at school and community events.

We are incredibly grateful to the Knights of Columbus for believing in our students and helping us bring this new program to life!

What a weekend we are having at the St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish Fair! Our own Joe Rogers did a fantastic job leading the festivities, and it was so much fun to see so many familiar faces including PJP students supporting this wonderful parish community.

Events like this are a beautiful reminder of the strong connection between PJP, our parishes, and the families we serve. The fair is happening now, so stop by and join the fun!

Please join us in congratulating senior Brocagh Lynn, who was selected to receive a scholarship to attend the prestigious Philadelphia International Music Festival in Italy this summer!

Brocagh has just completed a 10-day intensive piano program in Cremona, Italy, the historic heart of Italian classical music. While there, he participated in masterclasses and private lessons under the guidance of members of The Philadelphia Orchestra.

Earlier this summer, Brocagh also participated in a two-week Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard piano intensive in Orlando, Florida.

Bravo, Brocagh! Your dedication, talent, and exceptional artistry have earned you these incredible opportunities, and we are so proud of you! We can't wait to see where your musical journey takes you next!

As we get ready to welcome our Golden Panthers back to school soon, 50 Archdiocesan elementary school teachers spent the morning at PJP for our third annual Summer Learning Series, a professional development session on supporting students during math class through strategies rooted in universal design for learning principles.

Led by Mrs. Jaclyn Rocks, principal of St. Teresa of Calcutta School in Limerick and a proud PJP parent, our partner teachers were equipped with tools to kick off another wonderful school year!

We’re proud to share that Pope John Paul II High School has received a $5,000 Explore.Act.Tell. grant from the Foundation for Impact on Literacy and Learning, in partnership with Albertsons Companies Foundation’s Nourishing Neighbors!

The grant recognizes the work of students in our Faith in Action class, who planned and led a school-wide Lenten Food Drive to help local families experiencing food insecurity.

Through this project, our students brought the PJP community together to serve others while developing their leadership skills and living out our mission beyond the classroom.

We are so proud of our Golden Panthers for seeing a need, taking action, and making a difference in our community!
