The Shrine record boards have been updated! 💙🏆

Ella Lamb ‘28 earned her place among Shrine Catholic High School’s all-time best cross country runners. Her time of 19:54 ranks 12th in school history, placing her name on the Top 15 board that every Shrine Cross Country athlete hopes of reaching! With two years remaining in her high school career, we look forward to watching her continue to climb the board!

Abe Cerone ‘26 added even more accomplishments to the boards. He now holds Shrine records for:

• Fastest XC 5K in school history
• 800 meters
• 1600 meters
• 3200 meters

As the 2026 State Champion in the 800 and 1600, he also set state-meet records in both events.

Cerone is now competing for Butler University, and we cannot wait to see what he accomplishes next.

The Catholic High School League is celebrating 100 years, and today, several of our student-athletes traveled to Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for a special Centennial Mass!

Our talented Goliards helped provide beautiful music for the liturgy, and Monsignor Kosanke concelebrated Mass with the Archbishop.

🙏 What a beautiful way to begin the 2026–27 school year!

Today, the Shrine Catholic High School and Academy students and staff came together to celebrate our Opening Mass with Monsignor Chuck Kosanke and Father Andrew Smith.

Each Tuesday, our school community gathers for Mass, an important part of the student experience at the High School and Academy. Our students are at the heart of these celebrations, serving each week through our High School Music Ministry and as cross bearers, altar servers, readers, Eucharistic ministers, and in many other roles that lead our liturgies.

Today’s Opening Mass was a wonderful reminder of what grounds us as we begin another school year: coming together in faith and keeping Christ at the center of all we do. 💙💛

Among the contestants from across the state, she earned an impressive list of honors:
🎭 Overall Talent Award – the highest talent score for her stunning performance of "Out Here on My Own"

🎶 Non-Finalist Talent Award – recognizing the highest-scoring talent performer outside of the Top Five finalists

💛 Love Rules the World Scholarship – awarded through a blind judging process for a poster centered on the theme of resilience

🌟 Top Service-A-Thon Fundraiser – raising the most funds in support of the competition's service initiative

Another Shrine Golf Classic Is in the Scorecards!

It was a beautiful day for our golfers to be out on the course at Cherry Creek Golf Club for the 36th Annual Shrine Golf Classic on June 15, 2026!

Our golfers enjoyed a wonderful day of golf, camaraderie, fellowship, and the opportunity to help raise funds for the Shrine Varsity Football Program and the Merit Scholarship Fund. Both programs are an important part of Shrine Catholic Schools and directly benefit our students.

A special thank you to our Shrine alumni who participated as sponsors, tee sponsors, and golfers. We had a tremendous showing from alumni representing the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. Your continued support and dedication to Shrine Catholic Schools are greatly appreciated.

As we come to the end of the first week of summer, we want to take one more moment to celebrate someone who made an extraordinary impact all year long. Please join us in celebrating Mrs. Jane Frechette, this year's 2025- 2026 recipient of the Shrine Catholic Grade School Teacher of the Year Award.

Through her hard work, dedication to her students, patience, kindness, and loving approach, Mrs. Frechette truly embodies the mission of Shrine Catholic Grade School. Each and every day, she serves as an example of living out our faith for her students while challenging and inspiring them to become disciples of Christ and young scientists.
Mrs. Frechette has faithfully served the students and community of SCGS for the past 25 years. We are incredibly grateful for her teacher leadership, loving presence, and the countless memories she has created — including many cherished 4th grade field trips to St. Anne's Basilica.

Please join us in congratulating Mrs.
Frechette on this well-deserved honor.
