Another bittersweet goodbye! Abigail, who I have taught for 4 wonderful years, is leaving for MSU to study mechanical engineering. We celebrated her last lesson today with her playing her favorite music: “Bethena” by Scott Joplin and “Champagne Problems” by Taylor Swift. Then we snacked on BBQ chips (Joplin was from Texas) and sipped “champagne” (sparkling cider) while playing a piano card game. And she surprised me with a stuffed kitty that she crocheted.. it looks like Poppy😍.
