The most exciting thing about this idea is that I can offer local entrepreneurs a 2 in 1 space to live & work. I would like to think that we are different because I would like to offer minimalist apartments in the same community for each member that rents a storefront space if needed. Each storefront should come w/ a small apartment space to live, shower and rest to avoid the need of renting a apartment and/or home when all funds should be used to grow the business. I am a high believer in bootstrapping and avoiding loans to start a business and would love to give entrepreneurs the opportunity to live and work in one location to grow the business in a community with other local entrepreneurs. There are going to be many roadblocks, but I am sure I can get over them in the city of Detroit and that is why I have been working with a 3rd party company to help build my project, so I use my funds wisely. The first roadblock is finding the perfect location to build a work/live community.
