Happy first day! Just a reminder that we would love for you to be a part of the Oakland PTA. Every PTA Member Makes a Difference!
The PTA is a vital part of Oakland Elementary! The strength of our PTA - and the number of opportunities we’re able to provide our students - is directly connected to the involvement and support of our families.
Want to be more involved at Oakland? A great first step is to attend one of our monthly PTA meetings!
The Oakland PTA meets the second Monday of every month at 7 PM in the Media Center. Free childcare is provided for children in kindergarten and older, so you can join us without having to worry about childcare!
Beyond attending our meetings, you can also volunteer at an event, or grab a friend and co-chair an event together! We usually have 2–3 chairs per event so it’s manageable, fun, and definitely a team effort.
And don’t forget the PERKS! 🎉 PTA members get to participate in giveaways and also get early access to important volunteer opportunities (like the Marco’s Pizza giveaway and room parent sign up genius.)
Even if you can’t volunteer or attend our monthly meetings, your $10 PTA membership still makes a BIG difference! Your membership helps fund events, activities, and educational experiences all throughout the school year!
Together, we can make a big difference for our Oakland students! Whether you attend a meeting, volunteer at an event, chair an event, or simply become a PTA member, every bit of support helps make Oakland a stronger, more connected school community.
