Here is my testimony:
“The microsurgery with Natasha was amazing, fun, and educational. I learned a great deal about handling microsurgery instruments and made me more comfortable with microsurgery in the future. And most importantly, Natasha was very knowledgeable about the materials and made the learning fun and engaging. I will definitely take more advance course with her if I have the opportunity.”

Thank you, Natasha for your help and encouragement. And feel free to reach out if there is anything I can help.

Best,

Hey Natasha,

"The microsurgery basics course at the OUWB Microsurgery Institute - Beaumont, Royal Oak was a fantastic experience and one that I would highly recommend to anyone who envisions dealing with microsurgery in their surgical practice. Natasha is an OUTSTANDING course facilitator; her guidance was insightful and on point. She gave feedback throughout and even allows participants to dabble in some advanced techniques if skill and time permit. She was accommodating of a resident's work schedule and really just a pleasure to work with. What a unique and fruitful opportunity. I look forward to continuing to utilize the Micro lab in the future!

Thanks so much for all your help, you really are fantastic to work with and always brightened my day. I appreciated all the help and look forward to making my way back over in the coming months!
Cheers,
Trevor

Microsurgery can make people smile again.

We received permission from this patient to post pictures and share their stories in an effort to promote public awareness of the medical condition and treatment options.

Breast Reconstruction After Mastectomy: For those patients who do not have adequate lower abdominal soft tissue for DIEP flap breast reconstruction, SGAP flap is a great substitute. Unfortunately, the patient will have scar on their upper buttock.

Some patients have limited abdominal tissue for breast reconstruction after mastectomy, this particular patient needs more abdominal tissue than usual for a unilateral breast reconstruction after a ni**le sparing mastectomy. We used all four zones of abdominal tissue and “supercharged” the blood supply to make sure that all the tissue is well perfused. In addition, we routinely provide sensory restoration for all our autologous breast reconstruction patients.
