Center child care providers — tomorrow’s OCC Advisory Committee meeting is one we need to show up for.

The agenda is officially out, and this isn’t just a routine meeting. OCC has specifically scheduled a “Review of CCDF Allocation and Subsidy Changes” as part of the Director’s Update. They will also discuss school-year and summer rates for school-age children, the Market Rate Study, the Child Care Quality System, and subsidy updates.

These are issues that directly affect our programs, our families, and our ability to keep providing care.

You do NOT have to speak. You do NOT have to be an expert on CCDF or policy. Come in person or log into Zoom, listen to what is being proposed, and make sure family child care is represented.

We spend every day caring for Utah’s children and making it possible for their parents to work. Decisions about our industry should not happen in rooms where providers are absent.
