I've yet to harvest this years potatoes, they're ready later next month. I did however locate a fair amount from last year that I missed harvesting. Chef Scott is busy preparing something delicious with these Carola Organic Potatoes.

This year's Dolgo Crabapple crop so far. I'm going to make Jelly with them, they're also great for hard cider I'm told....

I found my first Passion Fruit July 1st this morning, 51 days later, I found my first purple fruit on the ground. I'm told you don't pick Passion Fruit from the vine, similar to Pawpaws, they're ripe when they fall to the ground. An odd fact about Passion Fruit if you sit them on the counter and let them get wrinkly this is when they develop their best flavor.

I'm excited about this experiment and just received cuttings from a delicious cultivar from Santa Barbara CA yesterday. To properly grow these plants for a bountiful harvest I believe you need a growing area that stays warm. Regardless of their special needs I'll continue forward learning and testing what I can about theses amazing plants.

Playing around trying new things. Here's Maypop (cold hearty passion fruit), tea. It's supposed to have a calming effect and I've sweetened it with my figs leaf syrup I made earlier this week. I'm going to keep playing around with this maybe adding some chamomile and or lavender.

My figs trees are full of greenery this year so I "figured" it would be a great time to experiment making fig leaf syrup...
