Department of Early Education and Care Launches Educator Discounts Directory – Mass Cultural Council A project of Governor Healey's Inter-Agency Early Education and Child Care Task Force

Thank you to The Beautiful Stuff Project for always helping us get the best materials for our art endeavors! We are so grateful for your assistance with this special mosaic project for our Garden Room at our Nurtury Learning Lab in Jamaica Plain. Children, staff, and volunteers from Serve with Liberty had so much fun working on this collaborative project, and we can't wait to share the final results.

When was slated to host volunteers at one of their centers they knew they wanted art to be a part of it. Their fabulous art director reached out to us for consult and supplies to create with them a mosaic sign for their garden. Message us here if you have a project you would like to do yourself in your space but need this kind of service from us. We are here for it.

Taco Tuesday: Teacher Appreciation Week Edition🌮

We’re celebrating our incredible early childhood educators for the hard work they put in each and every day. Early educators play such a pivot role in a child’s development and are truly shaping children’s lives inside the classroom and beyond.✨

Our three early learning centers have already kicked off this week with celebratory breakfasts and meals to thank our teachers and program staff.

Today, our Horadan Way Center enjoyed a special taco bar lunch, and the festivities have only just begun!🎉

Nurtury Early Education was grateful to partner with the City of Boston and Jumpstart this year for Boston Reads Day, a citywide initiative to promote early literacy, and Jumpstart’s Read for the Record event.

We welcomed two volunteer readers — Meredith from the Mayor’s Office and Stephanie from the Office of Early Childhood — into our Preschool and Boston Pre-K classrooms at our Horadan Way Center to read “See Marcus Grow” by Marcus Bridgewater.

In the book, Marcus discovers that gardening “is like a playground for nature.” By helping in his Grandma’s garden, he realizes that his own life is not so different from the life of a plant — both need nurturing environments to grow!🌿🍅🌱

Thank you to the City of Boston and Jumpstart for generously gifting each child in these classrooms with a copy of the book. We also provided Jumpstart’s garden-themed, post-reading activity guides to help enhance children's learning at home.

Nurtury Early Education was proud to have over 25 staff members visit the State House for Early Education and Care Advocacy Day this year!

On March 19th, we joined our peers from across MA to meet with Senators, Representatives, and their staff to advocate for policies that support early childhood educators as well as the children and families we serve.

During our visits, we also gifted legislators with artwork created by the children in our programs. Thank you again to everyone who made the time to meet with us! We appreciate your continued investment in early education.

Nurtury Early Education programs and offices will be CLOSED again tomorrow (Tuesday, February 24th) due to the conditions from Monday’s snowstorm.
