🥫🍞 We’re Still Accepting Donations! 💛

At North End, we are focusing this year on being good citizens and doing good deeds for others!

At our Title I Family Literacy Night this Tuesday, students will have the opportunity to build food bundles to give to families or neighbors they know who may need them. ❤️

Thanks to our amazing community, we have received lots of canned goods! We are still looking for other items to help complete the bundles, such as:

🍞 Bread
🥜 Peanut butter
🥨 Crackers
🥣 Cereal
🍝 Pasta & sauce
🍎 Packaged snacks
🍇 Jelly

Donations can still be sent to school. Thank you for helping our Jets learn that even a simple good deed can make a BIG difference! ✈️💙

Early Intervention releases at 12:30pm for car riders & 12:45pm for bus riders
PECIL releases at 12:30pm - exception is PCC Classes

In our first Arts & Letters unit, 5th graders are learning all about Native American history, culture, and traditions! 📚❤️

To kick off our learning, Mrs. Dunkley’s class had the pleasure of welcoming Will Paul, who came to share the rich history of our local Sappony Tribe. It was incredibly interesting to learn about Native American history that is connected right here to our own community!

The students were engaged, curious, and full of questions. They absolutely loved hearing Mr. Paul share his knowledge and stories. What a meaningful way to bring our learning to life and give students important background knowledge as we begin our new unit!

A huge thank you to Will Paul for taking the time to visit our classroom and share such a special piece of our local history with our students. ❤️🖤📚

💙 Good Reads & Good Deeds: Helping Our Community! 💙

This school year, we are focusing on the power of doing good deeds and making a positive difference in our community!

At our Title I Family Literacy Night: Good Reads & Good Deeds on September 22, one of our family stations will give students the opportunity to create food baskets to give to someone in our community. 🧺❤️

We would love your help! If you are interested in supporting this good cause, we are collecting food donations through September 21.

🥫 Shelf-stable food items may be donated anytime between now and September 21.
🍞 Fresh items, such as bread, should be donated on September 21 so they are fresh for our baskets.
❄️ Please do not send items that require refrigeration or freezing.

Every donation, big or small, will help our students experience firsthand how a simple good deed can make a difference in someone else’s life.
