Hello Pre K Families! Apologies for the delay in our monthly post. October was a super busy month for us. We had many fun activities as we explored buildings on our campus & within our community, focused on tools used for buildings, and exploring employment opportunities in the building field. We enjoyed our Fall activities, including a visit from the Roxboro Fire Department. We hope you enjoy these pics.

Hello Pre K Families! Welcome to our very first monthly class update! We are delighted to share some pics of our days with you. We spent our first five weeks getting to know one another, learning about our materials, when things happen at school, and creating our very own class promises and rules. We are all learning so much about each other, as well as the independent skills we practice each day. Please remember to return your Ready Rosie form to Teachers, so we can start sharing lots of fun videos and activities with your Family. Also, please remember our policy to not share these photos beyond this page.

Hello PreK Families! This week, our focus was "All About Me." Our Friends enjoyed working on their drawing of themselves, complete with lots of details. These pictures will be made into a book for our classroom. We are working our way through sharing our All About Me posters - thanks for sending them in! We had lots of fun answers to each of our Question of the Day this week. We enjoyed walks around the campus & had a chance to make some wonderful observations of the many different areas we visited. Next week, we will start our monthly study of "Buildings." For the first week, we will focus on what we know and what we want to learn about buildings. We wish you well!

Hello Preschool Families! Our theme this week was "all about me." During circle time, our Friends shared their family posters. Everyone enjoyed looking at all of their Friends family posters. We also sang the rule and the 5 little ducks songs. For sciencet, we looked at ourselves in the mirror. Teachers wrote down what the Children observed. For math we made a growth chart with our Friends to track growth and development over time. In the sensory table the children enjoyed a great sensory play by pretending to wash dishes. Next weeks focus will be leaves.

Hellp Pre K Families! Apologies for the delay in posting our School Family update from last week. We were in our third week of School, so our focus was "expressing feelings/conflict resolution." We have a great amount of social/emotional books in our classroom, and nearly every Friend found what they think is their favorite. Our process for conflict resolution is to give a Friend a message, and have the Friend ask how we can help our hurt Friend feel better. Ask your Child to model it for you -- we are sure they will be delighted to share what they have learned. We introduced our "question of the day." This segment of learning is a wonderful way for our Friends to expand their thought processes beyond simple yes and no questions. We had some very interesting answers throughout the week. We wish you well.

** PLEASE REMEMBER OUR POLICY ABOUT NOT SHARING PICTURES FROM THIS PAGE ** Hello Preschool Families! Apologies for the delay in sharing out pics from last week. Our study for last week was Acts of Kindness. During circle time, we talked about what it means to be kind, what is kindness, ways to show kindness, and how we can be kind. We have a kindness bucket and each time an act of kindness is practiced in the classroom, we added it to our bucket. Also, we thought of words that begin with "K". For math, our Friends counted the heart counters and in science, we gathered acorns from outside to bring in to weigh. We worked on fine motor skills by cutting play dough. For our sensory table we put letters in the table for letter recognition. Also, we had a visit with Mrs Vanessa, from the PCC Learning Resource Center. She read two books to us - "My Birthday Cake" and "Animal Fair." Next week, we will focus on "All About Me."

Hello Pre K Families! We are thrilled to welcome you to our new Pre K School Year. Many of our Friends will be graduating next year - roll on Class of 2025! We have monthly studies we will be working on, with a weekly focus on different topics. We have a daily announcement board right outside of our classroom door, so be sure to check it for updates. For August/September, we are studying the first 5 weeks of School. Our Friends are doing so well, coming together as a School Family. We are diligently working on collaboration, problem solving, classroom promises/rules, and learning about our daily routines. We look forward to connecting with your Family each morning/afternoon. Don't forget that your Child's "All About Me" poster is due on or before Sept 20th. Mrs. Nadine & Mrs. Mary are also working on their posters - we know how much enjoyment our Friends will have not only sharing their poster with their School Family, but also with having their posters on display in the classroom. We hope you enjoy the pics we are sharing, and we wish you well!

Hello Preschool Families! We are delighted to welcome your Child to our new School year and hope you will enjoy our weekly posts. Our study for this week was School family. Please remember our policy on not sharing our social media pics with other people. During circle time, we discussed Teachers, friends, Librarians, and our other PCC staff. We reviewed our colors, shapes, and rules song. For math. our Friends sorted the school buses by color, which was alot of fun. In our art center, we created pictures of each Child with a Friend. We practiced writing the letter 'F' for Family. Our sensory table is always popular, and this week, we had water with alphabet bubbles, for practice in letter learning. For our Science activity, we measured Teachers and other Pcc staff members with measuring tape and created a chart. Our study for next week is acts of kindness.
