NCCS Class of 2003 Reunion

NCCS Class of 2003 Reunion It's been 10 years...let's party. I think this shindig should take place during 4th of July weekend in Rouses Point. Look forward to seeing y'all. Cheers.

It's warm out, there's lots to do (and drink), and a good chunk of out-of-town folks will be home for the festivities. This page is meant to get the ball rolling, and roll it shall from this point forward. Feel free to post suggestions, ideas, odd thoughts and embarrassing moments or photos from high school.

So, the day of days is upon us. As stated before, the meet-ups are meant to be casual, "come as you are" type of settings. Have fun. Mingle. Catch-up with beloved, familiar faces. Just enjoy yourself. Also, if you're still on the fence about coming? Don't be. We'd love to see y'all (all y'all). That said, here's the basic rundown...
• Friday, June 30: 6 to 10 p.m. at Latitude 45, located on 80 Montgomery Street in Rouses Point. Casual meet-up. There is no kitchen onsite, so if you'd like to bring snacks or whatever, feel free to do so. Otherwise, don't feel obligated. Roll in and grab a seat at the big bar or hangout at the small side table area. Get a drink and reconnect. Also, don't forget to tip your bartender.

• Saturday, July 1: Point Au Roche State Park. Looks like we're all aiming to be there around 1 p.m. Come whenever you'd like, earlier or later. Whoever hits the beach or grass area first, put some roots down and we'll make that the anchor point of the gathering. Again, if you'd like to bring snacks or whatever, feel free to do so. Otherwise, don't feel obligated. Entry fee for cars is $7 per vehicle.

Most importantly: HAVE FUN & RECONNECT.

So, plans for the 20th reunion are...
- Dates: Rouses Point Fourth of July celebration (Friday, June 30, to Sunday, July 2).
- Friday, June 30: Evening meet-up at the Legion (adults only). We'll do 7 p.m. onward. Keep it casual. The other option is to go to Latitude (formerly The Last Resort), which could be better, so we don't have to compete with Legion holiday crowd, etc. Or we just bumrush Legion folks and mingle. Either way will work fine.
- Saturday, July 1: Daytime gathering grill out/beach time at Point Au Roche (families allowed). Noon onward. All former NCCS graduates from other classes are also welcome to join and catch-up. Classes of 2002 and 2004, looking at all y'all, especially.
- Sunday, July 2: Wide open for the RP parade. Not sure if anyone wants to be the "main spot" for NCCS folks to swing by, maybe before the parade itself?

Thoughts?

****NCCS CLASS OF 2003****
So, let's put together our plans for the 20th reunion.....the best weekend looks to be, as expected, the Rouses Point Fourth of July celebration (Friday, June 30, to Sunday, July 2). Some folks have suggested a two-day thing: evening meet-up at the Legion (adults only) and a daytime gathering grill out/beach time at Point Au Roche (families allowed). Based on some other options, Friday night at the Legion would be pretty ideal, seeing as we might be able to get Mike Castine as the DJ (he's almost always booked otherwise), then Saturday for the beach/grill out, which leaves Sunday open for the RP parade. Okay, let's figure this out in the comments below. Keep in mind to keep it simple, and we'll be accommodating to the most folks as possible. Thoughts?

Is anybody out there?!

The time has come to start the preparations for our...20 yearrrr (booming echo across the North Country).

p.s.
Hanging with Emily Lafountain right now in Syracuse. She says hello and has already committed to being in attendance after mysteriously being absent for the 10.

Hey y'all! 15 years. Kate McDonough mentioned a mini-reunion this weekend. Drinks at the Turtle. Saturday. Kate, take it away...

p.s.
I may be swinging up through the North Country in August, also thinking of doing a get-together, casual drinks and hearty conversation.

Very heavy heart tonight hearing that Ryan Baker passed away. A smile ear-to-ear, a belly full of laughter, he was deeply embraced by those who knew him best back in the North Country. We remember many great times at the Bowl Mart and NCCS with his sincere charm. Sad to hear, truly. It never gets easier hearing about people that left an imprint on your life, now gone. You were as kind as you were loved. RIP, good sir.
