I passed every part. What a relief! Thank you for preparing us for the exam! I’m pretty sure we’ll all pass.

I took mine on Rundberg, there were five others and at 10:30 she told us who we’d test with and when so we could leave and come back. Mine was for 12:30 but we started at 12:04. The room itself has everything out in the open. There’s two big racks, one to place your belongings with gloves and the other has incontinent pads, towels, rags, sheets, clothes. Next to the beds there’s a plastic drawer with bed pan, basin, dental care but she did mention there is no denture care right now. I asked her about simulating gloves and hand washing at first she said “I can’t tell you anything.” then she changed it to after my first hand washing I can simulate and everything else I’d do as if this were real life.

She gave me a plastic sheet with three skills and a paper to sign for radial pulse while she told the other girl how to be a proper patient. The beds do move but manually and she suggested not to do it with the bed that had the mannequin. I was only a patient for two skills and left while the girl tested with the mannequin.

It was pretty relaxed, there’s a man in the front who’ll tell you to sit in the back. There’s a sheet that you read about what you cannot do as a patient, i.e. foot care, gait belt, etc.

I did test with a girl from ACC and I noticed she didn’t do any safety checks. I’m grateful you cover all of bases because that’s probably what saved me!

Hello good morning, I’m so happy to inform you that I passed my skills test. Thank you so much for helping me, teaching me, and believing in me. My family as well as everyone else’s I’m sure went through so much during covid. We personally lost 5 members of our family these past 2 years and it’s been so hard to be around death that I didn’t think I could do this anymore or if I should go back to private investigations. After talking with you I realize this is the field I want to be in and I want to continue to add on to my skills. Thank you to you, your husband and your daughter.

I'll continue to utilize the skills you've taught me because I understand nursing isn't all about medication administration. We're responsible for the complete care of our patients, including managing their ADLs. Although I am still not officially a Registered Nurse until NCLEX is out of the way, I want to thank you for everything. Your school was a launching pad to a career that's life-changing.
