As a professional organizer, I have a passion for making sure things are in order. Every item should have a home where it is stored when not in used and makes it easy to locate the next time it is needed. It saves time, reduces stress, and helps your well-beng. I love using my skills to help clients organize spaces in their home and I love their reaction when they realize that with a little "stick to it-ness", they can have the organized space of their dreams.

Getting organized is a process and it does take a commitment and a lifestyle change because once you get organized, you must work, like anything else, to stay organized. But the question you might have is, how do I get started?

I always say start small. it is easy to stay on task if you start small projects. Set a timer and work for about 15-30 mins. This will keep you from getting overwhelmed as you tackle your projects and begin your journey. As you become comfortable with your progress, you can increase your time!

If you have a desire to get organized, January is a perfect time to begin. Before you try tackling a space, try getting rid of any of these 60 items that you might have around you house. Sure, some items you will want to keep. But some of these items might not be serving any purpose for you so they could be potentially be donated so someone else can use it. Lastly, some items are no use to anyone so they need to throw away. Do you have something that you want to get rid of but you don't where to? Reach out to me. I am happy to share any resources I have that might be able to use your stuff.

How many items on this list are taking up your space? Happy organizing!

After a bit of a hiatus and a cross-country move, it is time to get back to organizing, so I am planning to relaunch my organizing services!

What is a professional organizer? She is someone who assists individuals and businesses declutter and organize spaces, develop sustainable systems, and improve productivity by applying expertise in organization and time management.

An organizer is not a house cleaner, but someone who uses her experience to teach clients valuable organizing techniques and systems, that will empower them to maintain a clutter-free and functional environment long-term, rather than just a quick fix.

If you reside in central Texas and are in Hutto, Round Rock, Plugerville, Taylor, Georgetown, Cedar Park, or Leander areas and have organizing needs, please reach out. I would love to help you and your family live a more organized life.

Monday night's tornado that rolled through Round Rock, TX, served as a perfect reminder that we may not be as prepared for a natural disaster as we think.

I am reposting my KCTV5 Better KC segment from 2016 to encourage you, that if you have not, to try to prepare as much as you can. You may not be able to prepare for everything, however if you need to pick up the pieces of your life and your family, you have a great place to start from.
