As a second year PT student, he has been treating in our clinic the last several weeks and shared what his experience has meant to him: “The TXST PT Clinic has been an incredible space to transition into the clinical setting. Working alongside professors and classmates has allowed me to build my confidence as a clinician in a supportive environment. After volunteering here during undergrad, being in the clinic has served as a “full-circle” moment for me. “I started in the PT clinic 6 weeks after my stroke. When I started off here, I was in a wheelchair with very limited mobility and couldn’t take care of myself. I believe the clinic has given me my independence back. The clinic has also given me the opportunity to continue my PT - whereas traditional insurance cuts you off after 3-6 months.”

Life (and PT school) is all about balance. First Year students Christian and Bevyn helped us see that during class. Congrats to our DPT students and all others in finishing finals. Now relax, recharge, and enjoy the holidays!
