π The Montessori Work Cycle: Where Deep Learning Happens π
One of the most unique aspects of a Montessori classroom is the uninterrupted work cycle. During this dedicated block of time, children choose meaningful work, engage deeply with hands-on materials, and develop concentration, independence, and problem-solving skills at their own pace.
Rather than moving from activity to activity on a rigid schedule, students follow their natural curiosity, build executive functioning skills, and experience the joy of self-directed learning.
When children are given the time and space to focus, amazing things happen. π‘β¨
