Today marks the last day of our FIRST round of taste tests throughout the county! We tested scones, pupusas, yogurt parfaits, and Yakisoba noodles with sunbutter sauce with students.
Thank you to Potowmack Elementary, Pinebrook Elementary, Blue Ridge Middle School, and Tuscarora High School for hosting us 😄

Fear Factor Friday was a success at all of our Middle & High Schools today!
We have a VERY talented group of school nutrition workers in our cafeterias. We're also sensing friendly competition between the displays in our elementary & secondary schools! 🙃
Our deconstructed ‘Hawaiian Poke Bowl’ is at our middle and high schools today for lunch.
Alaskan Po***ck Fish coated with a sweet glaze and Sriracha mayo sauce over a bit of brown rice. Top it off with cucumber slices 🥒 and pineapple tidbits 🍍 for the “Poke Bowl” experience.
Taste It Thursday was in full swing at all of our elementary schools today.

LCPS Summer Meals Information is now available for Summer 2022 ☀️
Please note that summer meal distribution for Summer 2022 will be different from last summer due to the loss of the following four waivers:
1. Non-Congregate Meal Service
Loss of Waiver means: Entire meal must be consumed at the school site.
2. Meal Time Requirement
Loss of Waiver means: Meals must be served within an agreed upon meal period.
3. Parent Guardian Meal Pick Up
Loss of Waiver means: Parents are NOT allowed to pick up meals for children.
4. Area Eligibility
Loss of Waiver means: Meals free of charge are available only at OPEN sites

These are included with all free reimbursable meals or students can purchase them a-la-carte for $1.00.
