Take a Permaculture Design course! Create a Career in Permaculture Design. The World Needs You Now.
One of the biggest misconceptions about building a career in permaculture is that there is only one path.
You don’t necessarily need to become a farmer, purchase a large property, or start a permaculture design company. Permaculture needs people working in many different roles, including:
-Ecological landscape designers and installers
-Food forest designers and consultants
-Market gardeners and nursery growers
-Natural builders
-Water harvesting and watershed specialists
-Teachers and workshop facilitators
-Community organizers
-School garden coordinators
-Disaster resilience planners
-Urban agriculture professionals
-Nonprofit leaders and program coordinators
-Writers, filmmakers, and content creators
-Real estate professionals who understand land and homesteading
-Attorneys supporting farmers, food businesses, and land-based organizations
Your permaculture career might involve working outdoors, teaching online, advising property owners, organizing community projects, helping people find land, or bringing ecological thinking into a profession you already have.
The question isn’t simply, “How do I get a job in permaculture?”
A better question might be:
How can I combine what I know, what I care about, and what I’m naturally good at to serve others?
That is one of the questions we’ll explore during our free webinar, From PDC Graduate to Permaculture Practitioner.
You don’t have to arrive knowing exactly which path is right for you. The purpose of this conversation is to help you begin seeing the possibilities.
