From graduations to retirements and everything in between, Hillside Elementary had so many reasons to celebrate this week!
Congrats to all Kindergarten and 5th Grade Graduates and happy retirement to Mrs Thomas on a well-deserved retirement!

The 5th graders celebrated the end of their Elementary School Era with a Foam Party, a Fiesta Lunch topped off with cotton candy and snow cones! Thank you to Hendro Greef with Jump Wave Rentals for supporting the school with such a fun activity, to all the 5th grade families who donated food, and to the volunteers who pulled it all together!

The annual fifth grade drive-through parade, led by retiree Mrs Thomas, is a memory that the students will not soon forget.

May is Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and at Hillside E.S. we’re excited to celebrate the cultures, traditions, stories, and contributions of the AAPI community all month long! 🌺🌏✨
From Floral Day to Culture & Heritage Day, book and character celebrations, and plush friends inspired by AAPI cultures, our Huskies are learning, celebrating, and embracing the beauty of diversity together. ❤️🐾
We can’t wait to see our students and staff participate throughout the week as we honor the many voices, histories, and traditions that help make our community so special.

That’s a wrap on Teacher Appreciation Week at Hillside! 💙🐾🌮
We ended the week by treating our amazing Husky teachers and staff to lunch from Vice Tacos and it was a HIT! Huge thank you to Vice Tacos for partnering with us to help us celebrate the people who do so much for our students every single day.
We also want to thank Village Burger, Stones Cuisine & Cocktails, and Zama for donating gift cards for our staff prize drawings. Your support helped make this celebration even more special for our Hillside family!
To our teachers and staff: thank you for showing up every day with patience, heart, dedication, and love for our kids. Hillside is better because of YOU. 💛
